CCTV images from Celtic Park released after assaults during Old Firm clash

CCTV images have been released by the police from Celtic Park following a series of assaults that took place during an Old Firm clash at the stadium on September 1st. The incidents occurred during a match between Celtic and Rangers, where only home supporters were present. The authorities are investigating the assaults and are seeking information regarding three individuals involved.

The police shared CCTV images of the three men they are looking for in connection with the violent attacks. The first man is described as white with shaved hair, wearing black sunglasses and a black top. The second man is described as white with short dark hair, dressed in a black jumper. The third man is described as white with short dark hair, wearing a dark green Celtic top.

Constable Mark Barr of the Greater Glasgow Football Enquiry Unit urged the individuals in the images, or anyone with information about them, to come forward. He asked for those with relevant details to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1092 of September 1, 2024, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The police are keen to speak to the three men depicted in the CCTV images to assist with their ongoing investigation into the assaults that occurred at Celtic Park.
