Shocking CCTV footage has been presented in court showing a schoolgirl attacking two teachers and a fellow pupil by stabbing them in a school assault. The 14-year-old, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, has admitted to wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article on school premises in a prior court appearance. However, she denies the charge of attempted murder and is currently undergoing trial at Swansea Crown Court as reported by Wales Online. The incident occurred at Ysgol Dyffryn Aman, also known as Amman Valley School, in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, back in April this year.
The CCTV footage captures the girl stabbing teachers Fiona Elias and Liz Hopkin, as well as another girl. The video shows her attempting to attack Ms. Elias, while Ms. Hopkin intervenes and ends up getting stabbed in the neck. Prosecutor William Hughes KS disclosed that Ms. Hopkin sustained severe injuries, including stab wounds to her neck, knee, lower leg, chest, and under her shoulder blade. Both Ms. Elias and the teenage girl were also treated for stab wounds at a hospital in Swansea.
Jurors were given a detailed account of the pupil’s actions leading up to the attack. She was seen spending time in a hall, stabbing a knife into the floor before rejoining her peers.
