Tyson Fury warns Oleksandr Usyk over ‘mistake’ from first heavyweight fight

Tyson Fury Issues Warning to Oleksandr Usyk Ahead of Rematch

Tyson Fury has taken to social media to issue a warning to Oleksandr Usyk as they prepare for their highly-anticipated rematch in December. The first clash between the two heavyweights back in May ended with Usyk handing Fury his first professional career loss in a split-decision victory.

Despite the defeat, Fury remains confident of a different outcome in the upcoming rematch scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on December 21. The rematch will not be for all four major belts this time as Usyk was forced to vacate the IBF title, which was subsequently claimed by Daniel Dubois.

Fury, known for his bold statements, called out Usyk for not finishing the job properly when they first met. In a social media post, Fury wrote, “You had your shot but couldn’t finish the job! Mistake! Now you’re about to feel the wrath of a menace! Gypsy King 2024 is coming for you on December 21.”

In response, Usyk expressed admiration for his rival’s demeanor, writing, “You are very cool my friend,” on his own post. Fury, who has been sharing training footage online, has not begun a full training camp yet, sparking concern in some quarters. However, he has assured fans that he will be ready for the fight on the night.

Expressing his strategy for the rematch, Fury stated, “I haven’t started training yet. I think I’ve got 13 weeks today until my fight. I’ll probably start training in about six weeks for it. I do about six/seven weeks of training for these fights usually. I’ll be ready to rock and roll on the night.”

Despite the judges and most ringside observers giving Usyk the nod in their first encounter, Fury believes he should have won the decision. He aims to leave nothing to chance this time and plans on finishing the bout early, drawing inspiration from his knockout victory over Deontay Wilder in their second fight.

Fury boldly declared, “I’m not going in there for a decision this time. In Wilder 2, I went to knock a motherf***** out, and we all know what happened. In Usyk 2, I’m going to knock a motherf***** out!”

The upcoming rematch between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk is highly anticipated within the boxing world, promising to be a thrilling showdown between two heavyweight titans. Fight fans are eagerly awaiting the outcome of this colossal clash on December 21.
