Hollywood sensation Keanu Reeves has made headlines after crashing at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway during his professional auto racing debut. The renowned “Matrix” star was participating in the Toyota GR Cup, a Toyota spec-racing series, which serves as a support event for the Indy 8 Hour sports car competition.
Reeves, aged 60, encountered a single-car crash midway through the 45-minute race when he spun into the grass after Turn 9, avoiding any collisions. Despite starting in 31st place out of 35 cars, he managed to climb up to 21st position and skillfully navigated through a first-lap crash in Turn 14, ultimately finishing in 25th place.
Driving the No. 92 BRZRKR car, which promotes his graphic novel “The Book of Elsewhere,” Reeves is partnered with Cody Jones from “Dude Perfect.” This race marks his return to the racing scene, having previously participated in the celebrity race at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, where he emerged victorious in 2009.
