Stephen King calls out ‘old man’ Trump for refusing to release medical records: ‘Past his sell-by-date’

Best-selling author Stephen King recently criticised former President Donald Trump for his refusal to release his medical records, raising concerns about Trump potentially becoming the oldest president.

King, a vocal critic of Trump, took to social media to denounce the former president, labelling him as “past his sell-by date”. The horror author highlighted Trump’s failure to share his medical records, urging voters not to support “an old man who won’t release his medical records”.

At 78 years old, Trump could become the oldest sitting president if re-elected for a second term, surpassing President Joe Biden, 81, who stepped down from the presidential race earlier. Despite his age, Trump has kept his medical history under wraps, only offering limited insights through sporadic statements from physicians.

The most recent information on Trump’s health dates back to 2018 when White House physician Ronny Jackson disclosed some details regarding Trump’s cardiac health. Trump’s current personal doctor, Dr Bruce Aronwald, issued a statement in November 2023, commending the former president’s weight reduction and overall health without delving into specifics.

King’s criticisms also extended to Trump’s cognitive abilities, pointing out his inconsistencies and slip-ups in speeches. Trump’s tendency to make factual errors and incoherent statements has raised doubts about his mental acuity, despite his past claims of excelling in cognitive tests.

With concerns mounting over Trump’s health and cognitive functions, King joins a chorus of voices questioning the transparency and suitability of the former president for another term. Trump’s reluctance to disclose crucial health information adds another layer of uncertainty to the upcoming elections.
