Teenage boy rushed to hospital after ‘disturbance’ on Scots street

A teen boy has been taken to the hospital following an incident on a street in Scotland. The emergency services hurried to Lauder Drive in Rutherglen at approximately 9:20 pm on a Friday night after receiving reports of a ‘disturbance’ involving a group of young people.

Upon arrival, they found an 18-year-old male injured at the scene and promptly transported him to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for medical attention. Subsequently, a 14-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident. Police have confirmed that investigations into the matter are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated, “Around 9.20 pm on Friday, 5 October, 2024, police received a report of a disturbance involving a group of youths in Lauder Drive, Rutherglen. Officers attended and an 18-year-old male was found injured. He has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
