England given injury scare as Harry Kane suffers knock in Bayern draw

England received a major injury scare as their captain, Harry Kane, was forced off the pitch during Bayern Munich’s 3-3 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt. The incident occurred after a heavy collision which required Kane to receive treatment on his right thigh area. Kane, who is set to join the England squad next week for the Nations League, had to be substituted in the second half of the match.

The game saw Kim Min-Jae open the scoring for Bayern in the 15th minute, only for Frankfurt to turn the scoreline around with goals from Omar Marmoush and Hugo Ekitike. Dayot Upamecano equalized for Bayern before the break, and Michael Olise added another goal to make it 3-2 early in the second half. However, with 20 minutes remaining, Kane suffered the injury scare, prompting his substitution by Mathys Tel.

Despite Bayern’s efforts to secure the win, Frankfurt managed to score a stoppage-time equalizer through Marmoush, resulting in a 3-3 draw. The result leaves Bayern still at the top of the Bundesliga table, but they are now level on points with RB Leipzig, who secured a 1-0 victory over Heidenheim with a goal from Lois Openda.

In other football news, Robert Lewandowski netted a first-half hat-trick as Barcelona clinched a 3-0 win against Alaves. The victory came after Barcelona’s recent defeat to Osasuna, helping them bounce back and maintain their lead in LaLiga. The result restored a three-point lead for Barcelona over their rivals, Real Madrid.

The injury to Kane and the subsequent draw for Bayern Munich will undoubtedly be a concern for both club and country as they assess the extent of the captain’s injury ahead of upcoming fixtures.
