The new course at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire is designed to be one of the most environmentally friendly and sustainable courses ever constructed, offering stunning views across the North Sea.
Construction work on the new course, led by Mr. Trump and his son Eric, began last spring at the site near Balmedie, north of Aberdeen. The project involves relocating over 10 hectares of vegetation to facilitate the growth of indigenous plants, with one million sprigs of native marram grass already planted. The development team behind the project has been praised for the extraordinary progress made at the site, with a strong focus on environmental sustainability.
Special attention has been given to creating new wildlife habitats within the wetlands, sand dunes, and heathlands, while efforts to reduce the project’s carbon footprint include sourcing materials on-site wherever possible.
