Aldi’s East Kilbride store has been named the ‘happiest’ in Scotland according to a recent survey conducted by the popular discount retailer. In celebration of Happiness Happens Month, Aldi looked at factors such as job satisfaction, colleague relationships, and day-to-day emotions of employees across all 106 Scottish stores. The East Kilbride store emerged as the top performer in terms of employee enjoyment and customer happiness.
Situated on Queensway, the Aldi store in East Kilbride has been serving customers since April 2013. With a team of 35 dedicated staff members, the store offers shoppers great deals at Aldi’s famously low prices. Following a renovation last summer, the store has continued to provide a positive and supportive environment for both employees and customers.
The survey results revealed that 100% of East Kilbride employees highly recommend Aldi as a great place to work, with many of them raving about their experience. Graham Nicolson, regional managing director of Aldi Scotland, expressed pride in the East Kilbride store’s strong community presence and excellent customer service. He attributed the store’s success to its dedicated team and commitment to creating joyful customer experiences on a daily basis.
Nicolson highlighted that while Aldi’s competitive prices initially attract customers, it is the high levels of customer service that keep them coming back. The East Kilbride store encapsulates Aldi’s values of community, teamwork, and customer satisfaction, showcasing how retail can foster happiness and bring people together in meaningful ways.
As Aldi’s ‘happiest’ store in Scotland, the East Kilbride location stands out for its positive work environment, customer relationships, and overall sense of community.
