A missing child was discovered inside a car on the M6 motorway in the Midlands, after police stopped the vehicle. The 15-year-old teenager had been reported missing from Lancashire, almost 100 miles away. The authorities halted a Honda near J11 of the M6 and found the child inside. Staffordshire Police are currently safeguarding the teenager and have confirmed that the child is now safe in their care. Police officers escorted the child back to their home address in a residential care home, as reported by BirminghamLive.
In an official statement, the police said, “M6 J11 Honda stopped following concerns for a missing 15-year-old from @LancsPolice area.” The statement continued, “15-year-old found in the vehicle. They are now being safeguarded and taken back to their residential care home by our officers.” Additionally, police shared an image of the traffic stop on the M6, depicting a Honda Civic surrounded by police vehicles.
