A group in Wishaw is organising a charity jumble sale this week to raise funds. The Made4UinML2 event is scheduled for this Sunday afternoon at the charity’s base on Greenfield Drive. Emma Ferla, the charity’s skills and involvement co-ordinator, is optimistic about the local turnout. She expressed, “In an initiative to have conversations about poverty in our community during poverty week, we are promoting preloved items and sustainable fashion to help tackle the cost of living crisis.”
The event will feature free mental health packs containing soup and breakfast packs alongside free refreshments, a tombola and raffle to boost community spirit and raise funds for the centre. Ferla encourages attendees to seek amazing bargains on clothes, books, toys, and household goods while supporting a worthy cause. She emphasised that every penny raised directly supports community programs and poverty initiatives.
