Crianlarich estate awarded prestigious national accolade for landscape recovery project
A rural estate in Crianlarich has received a national award for its outstanding efforts in a landscape recovery project. Glenfalloch Estate was presented with the Enhancing Our Environment through Land Management Award at the Helping It Happen Awards 2024, which recognises individuals, businesses, and alliances making exceptional contributions to Scotland’s rural economy.
The estate’s project, inspired by an environmental masterplan from 2021, focuses on peatland restoration, increasing woodland cover with locally sourced seeds, and enhancing meadow and wetland habitats while managing herbivore impact. The award ceremony, held in Edinburgh on October 2, honoured 11 winners across various categories promoting rural sustainability, wildlife conservation, and community wellbeing.
