Country singer Jana Kramer revealed that she was compelled to remove a video featuring her eight-year-old daughter, Jolie, due to inappropriate and sexualized comments made by online trolls. The former One Tree Hill star took to her Instagram Story to share screenshots and clarify the reason behind taking down the original video from her account, as reported by People.
In the deleted footage, Jolie was seen wearing a sports bra at home, unaware of the implications it could have. Kramer expressed her initial ignorance towards the issue, stating, “I forget how sick this world is and how sexualized kids are.” The singer further disclosed that Jolie innocently came downstairs in her sports bra, ready to work out, prompting the video recording.
As a responsible parent, Kramer clarified that she would never permit her young daughter to wear a sports bra in public, but at home, it was deemed appropriate. Despite her original oversight, after receiving feedback from followers highlighting the inappropriate nature of the comments, she decided to take down the contentious video.
Acknowledging her prior lack of judgement, Kramer admitted, “I had no clue just how far these sickos go. Sad honestly that’s where the world is at.” Reflecting on the incident, the “I Got The Boy” artist emphasised the challenges of navigating parenthood alongside her new marriage with Allan Russell, a Scottish footballer, whom she wed this past summer.
Kramer, who shares two children with her ex-husband Mike Caussin and a baby with Russell, expressed the difficulties of maintaining balance amidst a busy household. She shared her thoughts on finding equilibrium between prioritising her relationship with Russell while ensuring she remains present and engaged in her children’s lives.
