Prince William and the Princess of Wales recently conducted their first joint public engagement following Kate’s chemotherapy treatment. The royal couple met with families affected by a tragic stabbing incident that occurred during a dance class in Southport.
During their visit, Prince William and the Princess of Wales spent 90 minutes meeting privately with the bereaved parents of Bebe King, 6, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, 9, who lost their lives in the Taylor Swift-themed dance class attack on July 29. They also extended their condolences to the teacher of the class and emergency responders involved in the aftermath.
Originally planned as a solo visit for Prince William, Kate decided to accompany her husband as a gesture of solidarity with the grieving community. The royal couple’s presence provided support and comfort to the families dealing with the aftermath of the devastating incident.
