Police have identified the victim of a fatal crash in Lanarkshire as Francis (Frank) Hooper, a much-loved grandad from Airdrie. The tragic incident occurred in Airdrie town centre around 3.25 pm on Friday, involving a collision between a bus and three cars. Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene on Stirling Street where a car had collided with the bus and two other vehicles. Paramedics attended to Frank, 58, and he was swiftly taken to the hospital for urgent medical care, but sadly he passed away shortly after. Frank’s devastated family have issued a statement through Police Scotland, describing him as a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
