Crash near popular Glencoe hiking destination closes both sides of busy A-road

A crash near one of Scotland’s most popular hiking destinations has caused traffic chaos for motorists. The A82 at Glencoe is currently closed in both directions due to a collision near the Three Sisters Viewpoint. Police are on the scene, managing the situation as traffic begins to build on both sides. Traffic Scotland has issued a cautionary message to drivers, urging them to exercise caution when approaching the area.

A spokesperson from Traffic Scotland stated at 2.50pm, “The A82 at Glencoe (Near the Three Sisters Viewpoint) is currently CLOSED in both directions due to a collision. Police are currently on scene, traffic is beginning to build in the area. Please take care on approach.” Authorities from Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for further information and updates.
