BTS Member Jin Set to Release Solo Album in November Following Return from Military Service
Jin, the eldest member of the popular South Korean boyband BTS, has exciting news for fans as he gears up to release his solo album in November. This announcement comes after his return from mandatory military service earlier this year.
After completing his military duties in June, Jin celebrated the 11th anniversary of BTS’ debut with a fan meeting in Seoul, where he unveiled an extended version of his song “Super Tuna.” During this event, he also revealed his plans for more solo music releases and appearances on variety shows, stating his commitment to focusing on his primary role in the group.
Fans can anticipate Jin’s solo album as his agency, BigHit Music, has confirmed that he is currently preparing for its release next month. The agency assured that more details about the album would be revealed once they are finalised.
Jin has dropped hints about his solo endeavours in recent months. Notably, in a comment on fellow BTS member Jimin’s album release announcement on Weverse in June, Jin teased, “Jimin, I’m next.” Furthermore, Jin shared with fans in a video live session in September that he had completed recording the album and the production process was wrapped up.
Since his return to BTS, Jin has been actively engaged in promotional activities, including securing roles as a brand ambassador for Fred Jewelry and Gucci. Additionally, he represented South Korea as a torchbearer at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, expressing gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support.
Prior to commencing his military service in December 2022, Jin collaborated with Coldplay on the single “The Astronaut.” While Jin embarks on his solo music journey, the remaining BTS members – RM, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook – are fulfilling their military service duties. Fans can anticipate the group’s full reunion in 2026.
