Salma Hayek has ‘no bad blood’ with Nicole Kidman despite tense interaction

Salma Hayek Clarifies her Relationship with Nicole Kidman Post Viral Interaction

Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman have recently made headlines following an awkward interaction captured on video at Paris Fashion Week. Despite the tense moment that went viral, a source close to Hayek assures that there is no bad blood between the two acclaimed actors.

In the video, Hayek, 58, is seen attempting to guide Kidman, who had her back to the cameras, by placing a hand on her side. Kidman’s reaction to this gesture led to speculations of tension between the pair. However, the source insists that the video has been taken out of context and affirms that Hayek and Kidman hold mutual love and respect for each other.

The incident occurred at Balenciaga’s spring/summer 2025 show on September 30, where the photographer urged Kidman and Hayek to pose together. While Kidman chose to bid goodbye to singer Katy Perry and walk away, Hayek later shared a photo of them together on her Instagram, indicating no ill feelings towards Kidman.

Both actors made a stunning appearance at the fashion event in all-black outfits, with Kidman wearing a dress featuring a plunging neckline and Hayek opting for a black turtleneck bodycon dress. Kidman’s presence at the show marked one of her first public appearances since the passing of her mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, aged 84, in September.

Kidman had to miss out on receiving an award at the Venice Film Festival for her role in Halina Reijn’s film, “Babygirl,” due to her mother’s passing. Despite the challenges she faced, Kidman expressed her gratitude on Instagram for the overwhelming support and love she received from fans during that difficult time.

Representatives for Kidman and Hayek were contacted for comment but have yet to respond on the matter. The reassurance of a positive relationship between the two stars comes as a relief to many fans who were quick to jump to conclusions based on the viral video.
