St Andrew’s Hospice is gearing up for its annual Light Up a Life campaign, encouraging people to pause and reflect during the festive season. This initiative offers individuals the chance to dedicate a light on Christmas trees across Lanarkshire in memory or in honour of a loved one. Participants can also opt to receive a card to convey to friends or relatives that they are remembered.
All proceeds from this campaign will support individuals living with life-limiting illnesses and their families in Lanarkshire. The charity’s Light Up a Life service will be held on December 1 at 7pm in the hospice grounds on Henderson Street, Airdrie. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream of the service will be available on St Andrew’s Hospice’s YouTube channel.
To dedicate a light in memory or honour, individuals can visit the hospice’s website, fill out a form in any of its shops, or contact the fundraising department. This year, there is also the option to dedicate a light on the virtual Light Up a Life tree. The campaign continues to receive generous support from the Mears Group and Suicide Prevention North Lanarkshire.
