Strathaven & District Round Table is set to host a dazzling fireworks display for the community on Saturday, November 2. The eagerly awaited annual event will take place at Strathaven Park, with gates opening at 6pm. Attendees can look forward to the bonfire being lit at 7.30pm, followed by what is promised to be a “breathtaking” fireworks extravaganza at 8pm.
All proceeds generated during the event will be reinvested back into the local community to provide support and strengthen community initiatives. In addition to the visual spectacle, various food trucks will be available on-site to cater to attendees’ culinary needs.
Tickets for the fireworks display are priced at £5 each, or £15 for a family of four, with children under 5 offered complimentary entry. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased at the gate located at Glasgow Road, Threestanes Road, and Holm Street beside the tennis courts.
A spokesperson from Strathaven & District Round Table emphasized the importance of protecting the environment by refraining from bringing or using sparklers during the event. Sparklers can have adverse effects on the park, wildlife, and children playing in the area in the days following the display.
Expressing gratitude for the community’s continued support, the spokesperson conveyed their appreciation for enabling the organization to contribute to worthy causes across the surrounding areas. They encouraged everyone to join in and witness the night sky illuminated once again.
