Vice President Kamala Harris has taken aim at former President Donald Trump’s threats towards those who oppose him, as she campaigns in battleground Pennsylvania ahead of the upcoming election. Speaking to a crowd of roughly 6,000 supporters in Erie, Pennsylvania, Harris labelled Trump as “increasingly unstable and unhinged,” warning that he would stop at nothing to claim power for himself if given a second term in the White House.
During her speech, Harris referenced a Fox Business interview where Trump referred to Americans who do not support him as the “enemy within” and suggested using the military against them. She highlighted Trump’s history of attacks on journalists and election officials, emphasizing the dangers of granting him unchecked power for another term.
Describing a potential second Trump term as a “huge risk for America,” Harris outlined how the former president has threatened fundamental freedoms and rights, including healthcare decisions, voting rights, and environmental protections. She urged supporters to vote in November, stressing the importance of their voices and votes in shaping the country’s future.
With Erie County historically seen as a bellwether area, Harris encouraged residents to make a plan to vote and mobilize others in the community. She emphasised the need for unity and reminded the audience that their vote is a powerful tool to bring about positive change.
As the election approaches, the Vice President’s strong stance against Trump’s rhetoric and actions is resonating with voters in Pennsylvania and beyond. Harris’s campaign seeks to galvanize support and mobilize voters to prevent what she sees as a dangerous path for the country under another Trump presidency.
