Whoopi Goldberg has spoken out against Donald Trump’s abortion restrictions, stating that she does not believe women will vote for him due to his stance on the issue. The actor and talk show host made these comments at the “Broadway Rallies for Kamala” event in New York City, aimed at garnering support for Trump’s presidential opponent, Kamala Harris.
Goldberg, 68, took the stage to enthusiastic applause and expressed her disbelief in women supporting Trump, saying, “You’ll hear people say: ‘You know I’m voting for Mr Trump’, and I don’t believe ‘em! Because I know that there’s not a woman in this country that wants any man telling her what’s going on with her innards.” She emphasised the importance of women’s rights to make decisions about their bodies and healthcare without interference.
Trump has been vocal about his involvement in the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade, which restricted access to abortion across the United States. During the recent presidential debate, Trump falsely claimed that Democrats supported abortion “after birth” and accused them of endorsing the “execution” of babies.

Goldberg’s remarks came in response to Trump’s derogatory comments about her during a Pennsylvania rally, where he labelled her as “filthy, dirty, disgusting”.
