Alex Cooper reveals interview with male actor was so bad it never aired

Alex Cooper, the host of ‘Call Her Daddy’, revealed in a recent interview that she had a male actor on the show whose performance was so bad that the episode never aired. Cooper chose to keep the actor’s identity anonymous out of respect. She expressed that the guest was unwilling to engage and provide meaningful responses during the interview.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Cooper mentioned that the male actor was “giving nothing” and it was clear he did not want to participate in the conversation. Despite the challenges faced during the interview, Cooper decided not to release the episode to spare the guest from potential backlash from listeners.

Cooper highlighted the importance of maintaining a certain standard of conversation on her podcast, especially when discussing personal topics. She shared that while some guests focus on promoting their work, she insists on delving into their personal lives to create a more meaningful connection with the audience.

In a recent high-profile episode, Cooper interviewed Kamala Harris, the US vice presidential candidate, which became one of the most listened-to podcasts by women on Spotify. Cooper acknowledged the divisive nature of the interview, considering her diverse fanbase, but defended her choice to engage in political discussions on her show.

Following the interview with Harris, Cooper extended an invitation to Donald Trump to also appear on ‘Call Her Daddy’ for a discussion on women’s rights in the country. Despite Cooper’s efforts to facilitate open dialogue, the interview received backlash from some Trump supporters who labelled it as “propaganda”.

During the episode, Harris responded to comments made by Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, emphasising the importance of women supporting each other and celebrating achievements without the need to conform to stereotypes.

Cooper’s podcast continues to spark conversations on a variety of topics, maintaining a balance between entertainment and meaningful discussions that resonate with her audience.
