The search for missing Texas realtor and mother of four, Suzanne Clark Simpson, has intensified as investigators focus on a landfill site near her home. This development comes after details emerged of a chilling phone call she made just an hour before her disappearance.
Suzanne, 51, disappeared 10 days ago following an alleged physical altercation with her husband at their home in Olmos Park, as reported by a concerned neighbor who heard screams. The Olmos Park Police Department announced that the search has shifted to a landfill site near San Antonio, with assistance from the San Antonio Police Department.
The investigation began on Monday and continued on Tuesday with the involvement of at least 25 officers. Chief of San Antonio Police, Bill McManus, expressed confidence in the possibility of finding Suzanne at the identified location. She was last seen on October 6 after returning home from a party at The Argyle club.
According to an affidavit seen by KSAT, a witness recounted seeing Suzanne attempting to escape from her husband’s grasp. Subsequently, the couple was observed walking together away from the residence. The witness later heard screams from a nearby wooded area and saw Brad Simpson leave the house in his truck, returning several hours later.
Brad Simpson, 53, was arrested on October 9 on charges of assault causing bodily injury-family violence and unlawful restraint. He remains in custody on a $2 million bond and has reportedly been uncooperative with the authorities. Suzanne’s mother, Barbara Clark, disclosed that Suzanne had phoned her an hour before vanishing, revealing instances of physical abuse by her husband.
“I don’t think she is. I have not heard from her. Suzanne, we love you. We need you. And we’re praying for you,” expressed Clark, voicing her deep concern for her missing daughter. The family remains hopeful that the ongoing search efforts will shed light on Suzanne’s whereabouts.
