Geordie Greig announces Brick by Brick Campaign’s new target

Geordie Greig, editor-in-chief of The Independent, has announced the Brick by Brick Campaign’s new target in a recent development in the fundraising initiative. The campaign, in partnership with Refuge, has successfully raised £300,000 to build a safe house for survivors of domestic abuse and their families, thanks to the generosity of readers and donors.

Expressing gratitude to all those who have contributed so far, Geordie Greig revealed that the campaign is not stopping here. The focus now shifts towards securing funding for another safe house to further support the vital work done by Refuge in helping survivors of domestic abuse.

To get involved and support the cause, individuals are encouraged to “be a brick, buy a brick, and donate” by visiting the campaign’s website or by texting BRICK to 70560 to donate £15.

The Brick by Brick Campaign’s success in reaching its initial target signifies the power of collective action and the impact that a community can make when coming together for a meaningful cause. As the campaign continues to strive towards its new goal, the hope is to provide even more support and resources to those in need through the crucial services offered by Refuge.

This ongoing effort serves as a testament to the unwavering commitment to tackling issues of domestic abuse and providing essential support to those who have experienced such trauma. Through continued support and donations, the Brick by Brick Campaign aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of survivors and their families, offering them safety, security, and a renewed sense of hope for the future.
