Police in Kilwinning have launched a murder investigation after a man was found dead outside his home on Pollock Crescent. The victim, identified as 44-year-old John Taylor, was discovered with serious injuries around 1.55pm on Friday, 18th October 2024. Despite the efforts of emergency crews, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that Taylor’s death is being treated as a murder. Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie of Major Investigation Teams West expressed condolences to the victim’s family and friends, requesting privacy for them during this difficult time. He stated that initial inquiries suggest the incident was a targeted attack.
