Diddy Faces Multiple Lawsuits, Including Allegations of Raping a 13-year-old Girl at MTV VMA Afterparty
Rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently at the center of a series of sexual assault and rape accusations, as reported in a recent development. Five new civil suits have been filed against Combs in the Southern District of New York, with accusers claiming incidents of assault or rape spanning from 2000 to 2022. Among the accusers are two men and three women, with one woman alleging that she was just 13 years old when Combs assaulted her at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party.
The lawsuits, lodged by an attorney based in Texas, do not disclose the names of the plaintiffs but also include accusations of drugging by Combs towards the male and female accusers. The attorney responsible for filing these lawsuits, Tony Buzbee, has expressed intentions to file additional suits against Combs, with plans for weekly filings as evidence continues to be gathered. In response to these claims, Combs’ legal team has strongly denied all allegations.
This marks the second wave of lawsuits filed by Buzbee, following six lawsuits submitted just last week, one of which included grave allegations involving the use of Rohypnol, a common date-rape drug. The legal battle for Combs has intensified as he currently faces federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges, being held without bail at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. As the trial approaches, the prosecution is actively securing evidence from over 90 devices seized from Combs’ properties.
Combs’ defense team has requested identification of the alleged victims to prepare their defence, alongside a recent motion seeking to restrict the alleged victims from making public statements to avoid prejudice against Combs. The mounting accusations now amount to over 120 alleged victims, all of which Combs vehemently denies. Despite the adversity, Combs remains resolute, with plans to testify during his trial proceedings.
