Every dog had its day at Cambuslang’s annual Bark in the Park event, as reported by the Daily Record. The event, which took place on Sunday, October 6, saw over 80 dogs accompanied by their owners and families. Organised by Project 31 and Friends of Cambuslang Park, the day was filled with fun activities for both humans and canines alike. Project 31 provided children’s art and crafts activities and a children’s treasure hunt, while Friends of Cambuslang Park offered a stall with delicious sweet treats.
In addition to the exciting activities, the event featured various stalls, including one by Avenues Vets that ran a tombola, and another by Sweet P shop from Burnside. The highlight of the day was the dog show arena, where dogs of all breeds, shapes, and sizes competed for prizes, certificates, and rosettes. The categories were judged by experienced dog trainer David MacFarlane, with winners declared in various categories such as Best Inbetweener, Total Recall, Waggiest Tail, Dog Most Like Owner, and more.
Some of the standout winners included Rolo who took both Best in Show and Best Leadwork, and Storm with Joshua Dick who won Best Inbetweener. The event was a great success, bringing together the local community and their furry friends for a day of fun and friendly competition.
