Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is facing a fresh wave of sexual assault claims, with at least five more accusers coming forward alleging that their drinks were spiked before they were sexually assaulted at his parties. The new allegations include three people claiming that Combs sexually assaulted them as recently as 2022. These allegations are being represented by attorney Tony Buzbee, who is representing over 120 clients against Combs.
One of the accusers, a personal trainer, claims he was drugged on the night Combs received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards in June 2022. He alleges that at an after-party celebration, his body was passed around for sexual enjoyment. Buzbee stated that he plans to file a total of seven fresh lawsuits against Combs, bringing the total number of suits to more than two dozen. The new lawsuits detail alleged behaviour between 2000 and 2022.
One disturbing lawsuit comes from a woman who claims she was only 13 years old when she was allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted by Combs and another unnamed celebrity following the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000. The lawsuit describes a harrowing assault where the woman was held down and raped by multiple individuals while Combs allegedly attempted to force her into performing oral sex.
As the allegations mount, Combs’ criminal defence team has filed a motion for a gag order to prevent further extrajudicial statements that could interfere with his right to a fair trial. Combs has denied all allegations against him and is currently in a Brooklyn jail cell awaiting trial on racketeering and sex trafficking charges. His trial is scheduled to begin next May.
Representatives for Combs have criticised the influx of lawsuits as a publicity stunt, reiterating Combs’ denial of the allegations. They express confidence in the legal process and assert that Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone.
