The unsettling incident unfolded at the Sportsman’s Lodge Motel in Franklin County, Florida, where Seiden was discovered battered and bruised on the side of a road, miles away from the motel. The intricate dynamics of the polyamorous relationship between Seiden, Abell, and Araujo came to light during a CBS 48 Hours documentary titled “Who Killed Aileen Seiden in Room 15?”
According to Seiden’s best friend, Abell began dating both women simultaneously in 2017, sparking jealousy and a shift in the relationship dynamic. The situation escalated to severe levels of abuse, with both Abell and Araujo inflicting harm on Seiden. Despite facing physical violence, Seiden hesitated to seek help from law enforcement as Araujo’s father held a position in the police force.
