A sexual predator, Ian Dunlop, has been sentenced to six years in prison for preying on three young children in Ayrshire. Dunlop, now 61, began sexually abusing the victims in the South Ayrshire area over a five-year period after being asked to babysit the children. The abuse occurred between 1975 and 1979 when the girls were between five and eight years old.
Ian Dunlop was found guilty of multiple historic sexual offences, including lewd, indecent and libidinous practices, assault, and rape. Today, Dunlop was sentenced to six years in prison and added to the sex offenders register indefinitely. Non-harassment orders were also granted to prevent him from contacting the victims.
