Man hires influencers to tell his wife that he wants a divorce

A man has made headlines after allegedly hiring two social media influencers, known as the ‘Da Vinki Twins’, to deliver the news to his wife that he wants a divorce. This unconventional method of breaking such significant news has raised eyebrows and sparked discussions among social media users.

Divorce rates have been reported to be at their lowest levels in 50 years, with many couples delaying legal separations due to financial challenges brought about by the ongoing cost of living crisis. Despite the complexities involved in ending a marriage, choosing to have influencers convey the message may not be the most advisable approach.

The Voros Twins, also known as the ‘Da Vinki Twins’, took to Twitter on 23 October to share that they had received a request on the personalised video platform Cameo from a man seeking to inform his wife about their separation. In a clip that has since circulated on TikTok, the brothers can be seen delivering the message in their unique style, stating, “David loved you so much, but he doesn’t love you anymore! And he wants to get a ‘Da-vorce’.”

Chris and Patrick Voros, Hungarian Canadian influencers and professional wrestlers, shot to fame in 2020 when they incorrectly pronounced Leonardo Da Vinci’s name as “Da Vinki”. The video of them mispronouncing the name went viral, and they were later seen queuing at The Louvre in June 2022 to view Da Vinci’s famous painting, the Mona Lisa.

The video of the ‘Da Vinki Twins’ delivering the divorce news has garnered over a million views, with many expressing shock and disbelief at the unusual method chosen by the man. Social media users have shared their reactions, with one person stating that if their spouse informed them of a divorce in such a manner, it would be traumatising.

Opinions on the approach varied, with some finding humour in the situation, while others questioned the implications of using influencers for such sensitive matters. The incident has sparked conversations online and highlighted the evolving dynamics of modern relationships and communication methods.

In conclusion, while social media influencers can provide entertainment and engage audiences in various ways, using them to communicate personal and emotional news such as divorce may not always be well-received. The ‘Da Vinki Twins’ incident serves as a reminder of the importance of respectful and considerate communication in all aspects of life, especially in matters as significant as ending a marriage.
