Sutton Foster files for divorce from husband of 10 years Ted Griffin amid Hugh Jackman romance rumors

Sutton Foster, the two-time Tony winner, has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin, after a decade of marriage. The couple tied the knot in October 2014 in Santa Barbara, California, following their engagement in August 2013. Together, they have a daughter named Emily, whom they adopted in 2016.

Speculation about Foster’s romantic involvement with Hugh Jackman has been circulating, particularly since they starred together in The Music Man on Broadway in 2022, where they played love interests. Sources have suggested that the on-screen chemistry between Foster and Jackman may have translated into real-life romance. Reports from PageSix claim that the two are in love and committed to a future together, although they have tried to keep their relationship private.

This isn’t Foster’s first experience with marriage, as she was previously married to Broadway actor Christian Borle from 2006 to 2009. In a 2021 essay for People, Foster expressed how meeting Griffin made her realise her desire for a family, highlighting the significant impact he had on her life.

On the other hand, Hugh Jackman, known for his role as Wolverine, announced his own divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. In a joint statement, they shared their gratitude for their time together and expressed their intention to separate for personal growth while maintaining a focus on their family. Furness later reflected on the changes in her life during an interview, emphasising the value of embracing transformation.

As Foster navigates this new chapter in her personal life, both she and Jackman are faced with the challenges of transitioning relationships while nurturing their families. The spotlight on their romantic entanglement serves as a reminder of the complexities of love, commitment, and separation in the public eye.
