Linnhe Cringean, a talented artist, crafter, and businesswoman residing in Moffat since 1994, has been named as the South of Scotland’s High Street Hero for her outstanding contributions over the past two decades.
Linnhe Cringean expressed her surprise and gratitude upon receiving the award, stating, “This is completely out of the blue – a total surprise.” The Scotland Loves Local Awards, organised by Scotland’s Towns Partnership, aim to acknowledge individuals like Linnhe who play a vital role in strengthening and sustaining their communities.

As the chairperson of the Moffat Promotions Group, a voluntary organisation, she has been instrumental in organising various community events such as the Moffat Duck Race Fun Day, Mass Garage Sale, Picnic in the Park, and the Midsummer Market.
