Public Consultation Held for Proposed Solar Farm in Dumfriesshire
The first public consultation events have taken place for a proposed massive solar farm across 24 sites from Gretna to Eaglesfield in Dumfries and Galloway. The project, named Wyseby Hill Energy Farm, aims to generate clean, renewable energy through a solar photovoltaic array electricity scheme spanning 3,250 acres, equivalent to 1,842 football pitches.
Developers Green Energy International have initiated the pre-application process with Dumfries and Galloway Council, focusing on sites including Wyseby Hill Farm at Kirkpatrick Fleming, Gretna, Chapelknowe, and Eaglesfield.
