A Paisley man has admitted to threatening to rape a 14-year-old girl in front of her mother, as he pleaded guilty to 23 sexual offence charges involving multiple young female victims. Robert Young coerced the teenager into creating an OnlyFans account for monetary gain and repeatedly pressured her to stay at his house under the influence of alcohol. The accused, who appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court, also engaged in sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl at a primary school in Paisley between December 2022 and January 2023, followed by requesting explicit pictures from her.
Between August 2019 and February 2023, Young sent indecent messages to a girl aged nine to 13 years old, demonstrating a pattern of predatory behaviour towards underage girls. He also attempted to meet underage girls for unlawful sexual activity while in possession of indecent images of children. Young’s actions spanned several years, targeting multiple vulnerable young girls through social media interactions and coercive behaviour.
The procurator fiscal depute highlighted the severity of Young’s offences, including sending explicit images and making threats of sexual violence towards underage girls.
