Man filmed clinging to bonnet of moving car on busy dual carriageway

A man has been captured on film clinging to the bonnet of a moving car on a busy dual carriageway. The South Wales Police reported that the 74-year-old driver of the car has been apprehended following the shocking incident on the A48 leading into Cardiff last Wednesday afternoon. On October 30, around 2.50pm, a witness with a dashcam recorded the unbelievable sight on the westbound carriageway.
The witness mentioned that they had to take a “triple take” as they could not comprehend what they were witnessing amidst the traffic flow. The man was spotted hanging on to the bonnet of the car, which was moving at a slow pace in the congested traffic. Additionally, the windscreen of the car appeared to have been shattered during the incident. The witness promptly reported the occurrence to the police and was informed that several calls had already been made regarding the incident, according to Wales Online.
A spokesperson for the police force stated, “At around 2.45pm yesterday, police in Cardiff were alerted to an incident on the westbound carriageway of the A48 approaching the University Hospital of Wales after receiving a report of a man clinging to the front of a moving car. The 74-year-old male driver of the car was taken into custody on suspicion of assault and is currently being held at Cardiff Bay police station.
