Hard-working Wishaw woman thanked for everything she does for her family

Hard-working Wishaw Woman Celebrated for Family Dedication

A hard-working Wishaw woman has been recognised for her selfless dedication to her family. Marie Kelly was nominated for the weekly Say it with Flowers award by her daughter-in-law, Louise Ewan, who is married to Marie’s son, Paul. Louise praised Marie’s kindness and generosity, highlighting how Marie helps with her grandson Oliver and prepares a weekly family feast without expecting anything in return.

According to Louise, Marie played a crucial role in their recent wedding, creating favours and caring for their son while they were on their honeymoon. Despite facing personal challenges, such as the loss of her partner two years ago, Marie consistently goes above and beyond for her family. Louise expressed deep gratitude for Marie’s love, support, and culinary skills, noting that they would be lost without her.

In a surprise gesture of appreciation, Marie was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers at the Aroma cafe in Larkhall where she works. The flowers were provided by Pixie’s Petals in Newmains. Louise shared that although Marie may not seek recognition, she truly deserves the honour for her exceptional acts of love and care towards her family.

Marie’s story serves as a reminder of the invaluable role family members play in supporting and uplifting one another, especially during challenging times. Small gestures of gratitude, like nominating someone for an award, can go a long way in showing appreciation for their unwavering dedication and love. Let’s continue to celebrate and acknowledge the unsung heroes in our lives who make a difference through their selfless actions and kindness.
