A special rally is set to take place this Saturday, paying tribute to those who served in Britain’s Armed Forces and lost their lives. Organized by the High Numbers Scooter Club, the event will begin at the Black Bull in Cambuslang and make stops at various cenotaphs in South Lanarkshire and Glasgow. The rideout will commence at 11am after members gather at 10.45am, heading towards East Kilbride to meet up with the Incognito Scooter Club at Leeburn. From there, the riders will proceed to visit several war memorials including East Kilbride’s War Memorial Park, Cambuslang memorial, Rutherglen Cenotaph, Bridgeton war memorial at Glasgow Green, Dennistoun war memorial at Alexandra Park, the Royal Highland Fusiliers memorial near Glasgow Cathedral, and finally George Square Cenotaph in the city centre.
The annual Remembrance rideout is expected to see around 60 to 80 riders participating in the event. Short services will be held at each stop to honour and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in both World Wars.
