Family-owned Perthshire holiday park sold for undisclosed sum

Faskally Caravan Park near Pitlochry, owned by the Hay family since 1954, has been sold to Rattray-based Wood Leisure. The confidential deal, for an undisclosed sum, was arranged by commercial real estate firm Colliers after a competitive process which saw Wood Leisure become the preferred bidder.

Wood Leisure, a family-owned firm with over 40 years of experience in creating memorable holidays, expressed their delight in acquiring Faskally. The caravan park covers 30.9 acres and offers approximately 330 pitches, including private static and lodge holiday homes, an established hire fleet, and touring caravan pitches.

Margaret Wood of Wood Leisure stated, “We are delighted to secure the acquisition of Faskally and we look forward to maintaining the same family-run feel and high standards that the Hays have maintained for the last 70 years.” Ian Hay, whose parents bought Faskally in the 1950s, expressed the importance of selling to a similar family operator with a shared ethos.

Colliers’ Head of UK Parks Agency, Richard Moss, highlighted the strong demand for high-quality properties in top locations, emphasizing that Faskally Caravan Park met all the criteria for Wood Leisure.
