Rotary Club in Rutherglen Hosts Successful Fundraising Quiz Night
Rotary members in Rutherglen came together for a fun-filled evening at Cathkin Braes Golf Club, raising over £1100 for local charities. More than 100 Rotarians, guests, and friends participated in a quiz night, testing their knowledge in teams led by quiz masters Alister and Mharie Neil. The event also featured a fundraising competition to slide a pound coin closest to a bottle of single malt whisky, a raffle with a goodies-filled basket as the top prize, and a delicious buffet provided by the golf club caterer.
The winning quiz team, consisting of three family members of Rotarian David Paul, celebrated their victory alongside President Elizabeth Nairn and quiz organiser Bill McIntosh. The top raffle prize, a goodies-filled basket, was won by Kirsty Copland and presented by Past President Brian Williams. Banners displaying charity donations exceeding £20,000 made by the Rutherglen Rotary in the past year were showcased at the event, highlighting the club’s commitment to giving back to the community.
