The 51-year-old Top Gear presenter is cycling 300 miles over five days on a customised Raleigh Chopper, starting from Wrexham, passing through England, and culminating in Glasgow. McGuinness is expected to ride through Strathaven this Friday evening, with an estimated arrival time of around 7 pm. The ‘Paddy Tracker’ can be monitored to track his progress. The Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge, aiming to raise crucial funds for Children in Need, will be broadcast live on BBC One and iPlayer at 7 pm on Friday.
McGuinness set off from Wrexham stadium and is determined to complete his journey on the adapted children’s bike with only three gears in Glasgow.
