The school has recently introduced a new honorary recognition, the international tie, to honour pupils achieving outstanding accomplishments. The international tie, adorned with vertical stripes in the school’s colours and the Saltire flag, symbolises the students’ remarkable achievements. Among the recipients of this honour is school captain Fraser Steven, a talented golfer who competed in the world schools’ championship, securing an impressive third place in the senior pupil category and fifth overall. Another recipient, fifth-year footballer Keeley Cerretti, has represented the Lionesses squad at the English Amputee Football Association and competed in international tournaments in Poland and Colombia.
Other notable recipients include Motherwell winger Lucas Weir, Scottish Gymnastics gold medalist Alana Bradshaw, and go-karting finalist Blair Smith. Academic achievements were also recognised, with students like Jack Burnett, Ross Jamieson, and Leo McNulty receiving perfect scores in their exams.
