A personal trainer has shared the treadmill routine that helped him shed an impressive 50lbs, and the best part is – there’s no running involved. Trainee CharleyChefs took to TikTok to share his simple yet effective weight loss plan, which he believes could be easily incorporated into anyone’s fitness regime.
In a post captioned “Treadmill routine that helped me lose 25kg”, Charley walks viewers through the process he followed on his own weight loss journey. He said: “For everyone trying to lose weight this is the treadmill routine that got me from this to this, 50lb down and no running required. We all know that cardio can be boring […]”
The fitness guru then offered some advice, suggesting a steep incline and consistency are key to shedding the pounds. Charley advised: “Instead of having 12 meals a day, we’re gonna set that incline to 12 instead, f*** off the drive throughs, we’re gonna set that speed to 4.5.” He added: “This helped me a lot through my weight loss journey but high protein and being in a calorie deficit are just as important.”
Some followers who have tried Charley’s method reported steady weight loss throughout their use of the treadmill plan. One user commented: “I lost 2 stone in 6 weeks doing this.”
Some people, however, were less impressed with the hack, preferring to enjoy their exercise in nature. One individual commented: “I’d rather go for a scenic walk along the moors. Nothing more boring than walking on a treadmill looking at a white wall.”
The NHS recommends walking as a healthy and simple way to lose weight, stating: “Sometimes overlooked as a form of exercise, walking briskly can help you build stamina, burn excess calories and make your heart healthier. You do not have to walk for hours. A brisk 10-minute daily walk has lots of health benefits and counts towards your 150 minutes of weekly exercise, as recommended in the physical activity guidelines for adults aged 19 to 64.”
Charley’s treadmill routine has gained attention for its effectiveness in weight loss without the need for running. His emphasis on incline and consistency can provide a new approach to those seeking to improve their fitness levels and shed some pounds. Adding this simple routine to a daily regimen could potentially lead to promising results in achieving weight loss goals.
