Police in West Lothian are appealing to the public for assistance following a series of thefts targeting homes in a village in the area. Detectives are investigating a break-in and an attempted break-in at two properties in East Calder. The incidents took place between 5 pm on Tuesday, 12th November and 7 am on Wednesday, 13th November.
During this time frame, a house on Castle Crescent was broken into, with enquiries ongoing to determine if any items were stolen. Additionally, an attempted break-in occurred around 2:30 am on Wednesday at a house on Blair Road. The suspects fled the scene after being disturbed and were last seen getting into a white Volkswagen Golf estate car parked on Blair Road.
Detective Constable Graeme Comrie stated that they believe the same individuals may be behind both crimes and are urging anyone with information to come forward. Specifically, they are asking if anyone was in the Castle Crescent area on Tuesday night or in the Blair Road area around 2:30 am on Wednesday and saw anything suspicious. Those who may have seen a white Volkswagen Golf estate car around these locations and times are also encouraged to contact the police.
