Newmains Mum Expresses Gratitude Towards Daughter for Support During Health Struggles
A Newmains mother has extended her heartfelt thanks to her daughter for providing unwavering support throughout her health challenges over the last year. Pauline Davidson, who was hospitalised in February, nominated her daughter Sarah and her partner William for the weekly “Say it with Flowers” competition as a token of appreciation for their dedication.
Recalling the critical moment, Pauline shared with Lanarkshire Live, “Sarah’s quick thinking in calling the ambulance was crucial. I spent two weeks in intensive care and was informed that my recovery would be a lengthy process. It has been an arduous journey, and I couldn’t have come this far without Sarah and William by my side.”
During the initial months of her recovery, Pauline found herself reliant on her daughter’s care, having lost muscle function and mobility. With her bed set up in the living room, Sarah took on household responsibilities along with providing round-the-clock care. While Pauline has made progress, she admits to still facing challenges such as difficulty in climbing stairs.
Expressing her gratitude, Pauline remarked, “Both Sarah and William have been exceptional in their support. Their selfless actions have been nothing short of angelic. Surprising them with a token of appreciation felt like the least I could do to acknowledge their unwavering dedication.”
After learning about Sarah’s unwavering commitment to her family, the decision was made to surprise her with a beautiful bouquet from Pixie’s Petals at their Newmains residence as a gesture of gratitude.
Pauline added, “If I could, I would do more to repay Sarah and William for all they have done for me. This floral gesture is a small token of my immense appreciation for their invaluable support.”
