A 72-year-old Scots pensioner, George Mitchell, had his life saved by a hero bystander after collapsing during a game of bowls at Kirkcaldy Bowling Club in Fife on August 8. George suffered a cardiac arrest, and quick action from fellow player Flo Stark and another club member played a crucial role in saving his life.
Flo Stark, 74, noticed George becoming unwell while chatting to another member and immediately sprang into action. She started CPR compressions and used the defibrillator on George.
