Suzuki Unveils Mid-Term Makeover for Vitara Hybrid Model
Suzuki has recently announced a mid-term makeover for its current Vitara hybrid model, following the introduction of the all-new battery-powered e Vitara. The updates to the Vitara hybrid include styling tweaks, enhanced levels of standard equipment and technology, as well as improved hybrid efficiency.
The exterior changes to the Vitara hybrid feature a redesigned front grille and bumper, a rear upper spoiler with rear window side spoilers, new design 17-inch alloy wheels, and two additional body colours. Suzuki asserts that both the 1.4 litre mild hybrid manual and 1.5 litre full hybrid auto versions have seen improvements in fuel consumption and reductions in CO2 emissions, with the option of four-wheel drive.
Moreover, the latest Vitara hybrid models now offer Motion and Ultra trim grades similar to other Suzuki models, with advanced safety technologies like lane keep assist, intelligent speed control, and a driver monitoring system. The vehicles also come equipped with a driver monitoring system, eCall, and an upgraded dual sensor brake support system for enhanced collision mitigation.
Standard features in both trim grades have been upgraded to include a nine-inch media display, wireless smartphone link with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry and start, high beam assist, auto-dim rear-view mirror, rear parking sensors, and Suzuki Connect connected services.
Moving up to the Ultra grade adds even more premium features such as new design 17-inch polished alloy wheels, a panoramic sliding sunroof, suede/leather seat fabric, front and rear parking sensors, electric folding door mirrors, and an overhead storage console.
In parallel to the Vitara model updates, a new study has highlighted the critical issue of tyre safety among motorists. The research, released as part of Tyre Safety Month, revealed concerning findings, including the fact that only a fraction of drivers check their tyre tread depth as regularly as recommended.
Lack of proper tyre maintenance could lead to severe consequences on the road. With the advancement of technology like Anyline’s AI-powered scanning technology, there is a potential for drivers to improve their tyre safety practices. Anyline CEO, Lukas Kinigadner, emphasised the importance of educating drivers and providing them with tools to make informed decisions for safer roads.
