**Lanarkshire Carers Celebrated at the Carer Positive 10th Anniversary Awards**
Lanarkshire Carers were commended as a best practice employer for their outstanding workplace support of staff members who are carers at the Carer Positive 10th Anniversary Awards. The event, celebrating a decade of the Carer Positive Employers in Scotland scheme, saw various organisations honoured for their commitment to supporting carers in the workforce. Employers from private, public, and voluntary sectors across Scotland gathered at Edinburgh’s City Chambers for the awards ceremony, where Lanarkshire Carers received recognition in the Best Small or Medium Employer for Overall Carer Support category.
The accolade adds to the list of achievements for Lanarkshire Carers, including the Carers Trust Excellence for Carers Award, Exemplary status for Carer Positive, and the Proud Scotland Awards 2023 Small Employer of the Year title. Barbara McAuley, CEO of Lanarkshire Carers, expressed delight at the recognition, highlighting the organisation’s dedication to promoting the health and wellbeing of its staff by prioritising support for carers in the workplace.
