This initiative, now in its fifth year, aims to collect presents for isolated older individuals in the area during the festive season.
Since its establishment in October 2020, Home Instead has been providing care services to elderly and vulnerable residents in their own homes. The company has partnered with various charities and groups to identify seniors who may not have the opportunity to receive gifts during Christmas. They are appealing to the public for donations that will be wrapped and delivered to these individuals in time for the holidays.
Collection points have been set up across West Lothian for those who wish to donate gifts. Additionally, an Amazon Wish-List is available for people to choose and order presents to be sent directly to the Home Instead office. Winter this year will be challenging for many older people, and we want to remind them that their local community is thinking of them by gifting small presents – bringing some festive cheer!”
